Half day tour, Tatzelwurm and Sudelfeld, 140km, driving time approx. 5 hours incl. breaks

This is a road tour over the Tatzelwurm and the Sudelfeld on partly small roads with hairpin bends at the Sudelfeld.

It goes from Maxlrain towards the south and shortly before Oberaudorf it goes on the Tatzelwurmstraße, a narrow road along the Auerbach.

Again and again the view of a great alpine panorama is offered. Shortly thereafter, the toll section of the Tatzelwurmstraße branches off to the right, a small road with curves and a single-lane tunnel.

The parking lot of the Wendelsteinbahn can be used to turn around and it goes on the same route back to the forest parking lot.

The short walk to the waterfalls of the Auerbach is definitely worth it.

Continue over a few hairpin bends over the Sudelfeldpass to Café Krugalm for a break with coffee, cake or snack.

Via side roads, the route leads to the Seehamer See lake via the Irschenberg mountain back to Maxlrain.

Special features:

The tour goes to Austria. Here it is mandatory that every motorcycle carries a first aid kit.
