SCHMANKERLTOUR CHIEMSEE

Half day tour, Schmankerltour Chiemsee circumnavigation, 148km, riding time approx. 3 hours plus breaks

You could say a Bavarian culinary tour with more addresses than you can eat. But you don't have to, the places to stop simply also offer sights worth seeing.
The first address is the "Gocklwirt" at the Simssee. It's not just the menu, but also the surroundings; there are all kinds of curiosities to be seen at
. And a short walk to Lake Simssee is worthwhile anyway.

From Lake Simssee, the journey continues directly to Lake Chiemsee in Prien. There the "Winklfischer" or the fishing hut Reiter is waiting. Here however a few meters are to be accepted by foot, one goes from the parking lot in Prien (km 42) approx. 10 minutes directly along the lake to the north. The rustic fishermen's hut
waits not only with a ready offer of smoked fish, but one has here also a very beautiful view over the lake to Herrenchiemsee.
Further it goes on the north side always along the lake to Seebruck. Here, the detour in the direction of the lido with the lookout point is worthwhile.

On the east side of the lake, it goes south, a bit along the Tiroler Ache (tributary of the Chiemsee) and finally west towards Samerberg.
At Auenmühle, it finally goes up the Samerberg to the viewpoint with its nice little chapel. Here you can always meet wedding couples who like to use the chapel and the view of Lake Chiemsee in the background to take pictures.

Only a few meters away is a real rarity - the "SchinkenSepp". He is known for his
exceptional bacon and ham that is available at the snacks there. But of course there is also coffee and cake.

Back goes Neubeuern to the other side of the Inn and Bad Feilnbach to Maxlrain.
